Hillary Clinton Announces Donald Trump’s Coronavirus Drug Advice
Hillary Clinton has made clear how she thinks about US President Donald Trump’s unprovoked treatment for the COVID-19 virus.
In recent weeks, Trump has repeatedly described the use of hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malarial drug, as a potential treatment for the COVID-19 virus, contrary to the advice of the Food and Drug Administration and other government agencies that have warned against its use. He stated that he protects from the COVID-19 virus by using the anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine.
In a tweet on Friday, Hillary Clinton declared: “The president must stop playing the role of a doctor on television.” The former secretary of state shared reporting from The Washington Post on a new analysis that discovered that taking the drug is “linked to increased risk of death in coronavirus patients.”
This is Hillary Clinton’s latest offensive against Trump’s vague response to the epidemic that has currently claimed more than 97,000 people’s death across the country.
On Monday, Donald Trump’s Democratic rival in the 2016 election tweeted that “Americans deserve a president who will listen to science and act decisively to mitigate the pandemic – not waste time, peddle fakes cures, and wish it away.”
In March, as lawsuits around the world mounted, Clinton attacked Trump for his favorite social media platform for “turning to racist rhetoric to distract from his failures to take the coronavirus seriously early on.”
And she advised the American people to “Please do not take medical advice from a man who looked directly at a solar eclipse.” and has repeatedly urged people to vote Trump out in November.
Hillary Clinton also issued a Twitter statement.
